Solar Energy Production
We’re committed to moving people forward—and reducing our impact along the way.
Electric Vehicle Project
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond infrastructure—it’s about giving people better options.
E470 launched its Electric Vehicle Project in 2017 to support the growth of electric transportation. Since then, we’ve continued to invest in charging infrastructure that serves customers, employees, and the surrounding community.
In 2022, we upgraded our charging stations with 2 high‑power DC fast chargers, including ChargePoint Express 250 stations. These stations provide reliable, convenient charging for drivers on the go. E470 is proud to continue offering public charging access as part of our commitment to smarter mobility and a cleaner future.

E470’s Electric Vehicle Project
E470 offers free electric vehicle fast charging at our Aurora headquarters, located at 22470 E. Stephen D. Hogan Parkway.
Four ChargePoint fast‑charging stations are available and can charge most electric vehicles to up to 80% in about 30 minutes. Chargers are equipped with CHAdeMO and SAE Combo (CCS) plugs to support a wide range of vehicles.
You’ll find the chargers in the northwest corner of the parking lot. To get started, simply sign up with ChargePoint and plug in. Easy, convenient, and ready when you are.
E470’s Role in Protecting Local Waterways
E470 protects the Cherry Creek and Barr Milton watersheds by responsibly managing stormwater along the corridor under a Municipal Separate Stormwater Permit (MS4) issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Through targeted maintenance and public education, we reduce pollutants like trash, vehicle fluids, sediment, fertilizers, and pet waste—helping keep waterways clean while keeping traffic moving.
Keep Roadways Clean: No Littering or Illegal Dumping
Dumping trash or debris on public or private property without permission is illegal and prohibited on and around E470, with fines of up to $500. If you see illegal dumping, call E470 Roadside Assistance at (303) 537‑3400 anytime, 24/7. Our crews respond quickly to remove debris, keep travel lanes safe, and help prevent pollution from reaching nearby waterways.
Secure Your Load and Maintain Your Vehicle
Unsecured loads cause nearly 80% of roadway debris, so before you drive, make sure nothing can slide, shift, fall, or become airborne. Vehicle fluids matter too—oil and other leaks can wash into storm drains and waterways during rain or snow, so fix leaks promptly and use a drip pan or kitty litter until repairs are made. Never wash fluids away with water. Have leftover paint? Recycle it for free at PaintCare drop‑off locations at paintcare.org or call 1‑855‑724‑6809. Small actions help keep the road safer and the environment cleaner.
Reduce Nutrient Pollution
Excess nutrients like phosphorus and nitrogen are major stormwater pollutants affecting Cherry Creek, Barr Lake, and Milton Reservoirs. Often coming from fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and pet waste, these nutrients can wash into waterways during rain or snow and fuel algae growth that harms fish, creates odors and surface scum, and impacts water quality. E470 partners with the Barr Milton Watershed Association, Colorado Stormwater Council, and Arapahoe County SPLASH to help people learn simple ways to reduce nutrient runoff and protect local waterways.
Compatible Vehicles
These fast‑charging units can be used by electric vehicles equipped with a DC fast‑charge port, including: BMW i3 Chevy Bolt EV Chevy Spark EV Kia Soul EV Mitsubishi i‑MiEV Nissan LEAF Volkswagen e‑Golf Tesla (requires a CHAdeMO adapter; you may need to lower the amperage in your vehicle’s settings for the charger to initiate) If your vehicle supports DC fast charging and uses CHAdeMO or CCS, you’re good to go.
