How It Works
If you don’t have an ExpressToll account, you’ll be charged through License Plate Toll on E470. Just drive through any tolling point, no stopping needed. Cameras capture your license plate, and a statement is mailed to the vehicle’s DMV‑registered owner.
Cameras capture the front and rear license plates of your vehicle as it passes through a toll point. A statement is then mailed to the vehicle owner using the address on file with the DMV.
Drivers must update their vehicle registration when they move. Colorado law requires this update within 30 days. Updating a driver’s license address does not update the vehicle registration on file.
License Plate Toll Billing Process
License Plate Toll Billing Process
The operational cost to track and bill License Plate Toll customers is significantly higher than it is for ExpressToll customers. Therefore, the toll rates for a License Plate Toll customer are higher than rates for ExpressToll customers. Open an ExpressToll account today and pay the reduced toll rate.
Online Account Management
Drivers billed through License Plate Toll can create an online account to manage their vehicle and personal information and pay tolls before a statement is generated.
From the home page, click Create Account to get started.
Once the account is set up, drivers can:
- Pay for individual tolls before a statement is created
- Update their information online
- Choose to receive monthly statements by email
- Add pre-paid tolls in any amount
- Store a credit card for easy payments
- Allow E470 to debit the card automatically when a monthly statement is due
