More Road Ahead
Our region is growing, and E470 is built to keep it moving. Through our Road Widening Program, we’re adding capacity and improving infrastructure to help make every trip safe, reliable and free-flowing.
The next phase will widen E470 between 104th Avenue and US-85, helping improve mobility today while preparing the roadway for future growth.
Work on this phase kicked off in October 2026.

Project Timeline:
Current Phase:
104th Ave. to US-85
Construction began October 2026 and is anticipated to be complete in 2028.
Previous Phases:
| 2016-2017 | Parker to Quincy Ave. widened to three lanes in each direction |
| 2019-2021 | Quincy Ave. to I-70 widened to three lanes in each direction |
| 2022-2025 | I-70 to 104th Ave. widened to three lanes in each direction |
Upcoming Traffic Impacts:

| Oct. 22 | 11 p.m. – 2 a.m. | 104th Avenue southbound off-ramp: The off-ramp from southbound E470 will be fully closed overnight. Exit 120th or 96th Ave and follow posted orange detour signage. |
On the roadway, you can expect:
Overnight lane closures
Shoulder work with barriers
Occasional ramp closures
Reduced or shifted travel lanes
Reduced speeds through the work zone
Increased construction activity near work areas
